Meeting and exceeding air, water, and soil quality standards requires careful analysis, and I’m committed to finding ethical solutions to environmental challenges. I take pride in knowing that my work helps protect public health and the environment. I recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Environmental Engineering. I enjoy seeing projects through to completion and being thorough to ensure every opportunity to protect the environment is pursued. The detailed nature of this work is challenging, but it’s also a source of great satisfaction for me.
In my spare time, I love hiking and paddleboarding. Exploring the beautiful landscapes of Texas and the Pacific Northwest keeps me active and deepens my appreciation for nature, which reinforces my dedication to protecting the environment in my career.
Where do you go for a weekend getaway?
As a Houston native, I enjoy vacationing on the coasts of the Gulf of Mexico. Galveston beach is a short drive away and the state park on the water is an accessible means to enjoy nature.
What’s your most powerful characteristic?
My most powerful characteristic is a fierce integrity for pursuing the most ethical and honest solution to any problem.
What’s your favorite season?
As a Texan, my favorite season is fall because it marks the beginning of the holiday season and brings cooler temperatures after a hot summer.
In a parallel universe, what is your profession?
In a parallel universe I would love to be an author of fictional works about dystopian societies.
What was your first job?
My first job was working as a lifeguard, which meant me protecting the public health and environment in a different way than I do now.
