I graduated from high school with my Abitur in Germany and completed an apprenticeship as a construction drafter in a civil engineering company that specialized in bridges and train stations. During this time, I gained a solid understanding of technical drawings, planning processes, and structured work.
While completing my apprenticeship, I had the opportunity to do a three-week internship in Finland, where I experienced working in a different culture and learned new ways of collaborating. I also completed a three-week construction site internship, which helped me better connect planning with what actually happens in the field. I am also proud to be a participant in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) program for young professionals, which reflects my interest in cultural exchange and broadening my perspective.
What I find most rewarding about my work is seeing visible results. I like visiting project sites and recognizing parts of a design I helped create. It’s a great feeling to know that my work contributes to something lasting and useful for the community.
In my free time, I am generally very interested in sports and enjoy trying out different activities. I play volleyball in a club and enjoy swimming as well. I also love to travel, explore new cultures, and spend time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, camping, or simply being in nature.
What's your favorite place on Earth?
It'sCroatia. My parents took my brother and me on summer vacation there a lot when I was younger and it always feels like coming back home.
What do you listen to while working toward a deadline?
Everything that doesn't have a voice. Especially classical music, chillout, or house.
What was your first job?
I worked as a production assistant in an injection molding company.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Being a participant of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange. Living, studying, working and volunteering in a country I have never been before is something that took and still takes a lot of courage.
Where would you take a month-long road trip?
There are so many places I want to see that it is very difficult to decide on one. I think what is on the top of my "bucket list" is New Zealand but I would need more time for that.
