I’m a civil engineering graduate from University of Portland with five years of experience in both the coastal area of Oregon and the Portland Metro Area. I’ve worked on a wide variety of public and private sector jobs both big and small and developed a liking for the Pacific Northwest’s natural environment and local communities. Whether it’s a bridge, stream reconstruction for salmon, sewers, street renovations, a private redevelopment, or any manner of civil engineering project in Oregon or Washington, I’ve likely dabbled in it.

I’m quite excited to continue my career and lifelong learning goals by working with Grayling Engineers and getting a chance to focus on one of my passions in engineering: environmental and water quality, safety, and innovation. In the coming years I hope to bring my enthusiasm for quick, clean projects and ensuring both client approval and personal satisfaction on my work.

While I’m away from work I like develop my own tabletop games and catch up on some reading. I’m also an amateur radio technician and even more amateur writer who enjoys spending time in nature when I can get the chance.

Coffee or tea?

Tea for work and study, coffee for guilty pleasures and late-night movie binges.

What’s your favorite season?

Autumn, the Pacific Northwest takes on its best aspects during this time. I’d recommend taking a walk through Minto-Brown Island Park in Salem or Shore Acres in Coos Bay during this season.

What was your first job?

As a filing clerk in a Salem law office. It’s quite rewarding to work along people who had a vested interest in justice for their clients.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

My grandfather was also a civil engineer, and while I first delved into mechanical engineering I soon found myself taking much the same road as my gramps.

What’s your favorite place on Earth?

Mary’s Peak, Oregon. You can see much of where I’ve lived my entire life from that mountain. I’d recommend a drive up to its summit during the summer if you have the time, wonderful spot for a picnic.
