System 1 Reservoirs 1 & 2

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Lake Merwin Campers Hideaway (LMCH) upgraded System 1 to improve reliability and replace aging water storage infrastructure. The project replaced two aging wood reservoirs with new aboveground storage tanks and associated pump station improvements to support water storage, fire flow, and seasonal demand.

The first phase replaced an approximately 30,000-gallon wood tank with a new 90,000-gallon reservoir and custom pump station at the existing site. A second 47,000-gallon reservoir was constructed within the same pressure zone and designed to match the overflow elevation of Reservoir 1 to maximize usable storage.

Grayling Engineers completed hydraulic analysis, reservoir and pump station design, and site improvements, including survey, geotechnical investigation, and electrical coordination. The project improved system reliability and helped LMCH meet regulatory requirements for the water system.
