Job Description                          

Essential duties and responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

• Assist team in preparing civil designs, drawings, and specifications for each design phase of a project.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports including, field reports, technical memoranda, computation packages, feasibility reports, and design and evaluation reports.
• Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
• May work individually or participate as part of a team for larger-scale projects.
• May be required to work in the field to provide site inspections and construction management.
• Communicate with client staff and the internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.
• Participate in professional development and training activities.

Qualifications

Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a relevant discipline is preferred.
• 0-4 years of civil engineering experience.
• EIT preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to complete engineering calculations and analyses.
