System 3 Reservoir Replacement

The Skamania PUD No. 1 operates the drinking water system for Underwood, WA. The Underwood Water System includes multiple pressure zones, with Zone 3 being the second highest. Water storage for this zone is provided by the Huber Reservoir, a 125,000-gallon bolted steel tank in service since 1998, which has structural deficiencies and a history of leaking.

Grayling completed a pre-design effort for its replacement, identifying a preferred location based on system hydraulic requirements, property acquisition needs, preferred storage volume and reservoir configuration, material of construction (steel or concrete), and land use and permitting requirements for final design and construction. The project is currently under construction.
