Krista Busby, EIT

BS, Environmental Engineering, Portland State University
I am a recent graduate of PSU with a degree in Environmental Engineering. From the very beginning I knew I wanted to work in water and wastewater, so working at Grayling is a dream come true for me! I have so much to learn in this field and look forward to throwing myself in headfirst.
When I am not at work you can find me coaching the women’s lacrosse team at PSU, reading a good book, or hanging out with my old lady chihuahua, Rosemary.
What do you listen to while working toward a deadline?
What’s the best live music show you’ve seen?
This is an impossible question! My top three would have to be Hozier, the Ballroom Thieves, and Caamp. Portland is a great place for live shows!
Where would you take a month-long road trip?
I would love to do a loop of some of the main National Parks in the west! There’s too many for a month but I definitely want to hit up Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Arches, and Sequoia.
What’s your biggest ambition?
I want to own my own plot of land one day and grow enough food to have a stand at a local farmers market.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I was completely convinced I was going to be a landscape architect for a solid five years without really knowing what a landscape architect did. I just liked plants.
